A Good Compromise Knee Brace

The pros are that it is lightweight, no metal (airport security), gives good support, easy on/off, comfortable.
The cons are, when the knee is bent, the spring hinges cause the thigh wrap to protrude upwards. Also, my old man thighs are thin, but my calves have remained like Henry VIII, so size L is good for the lower calf wrap, but I could do with a medium on the upper thigh wrap. Result is that there’s not enough loop surface for the hook Velcro to grab onto, and it curls up.
Delivery service from Belgium to UK via UPS was excellent.

NRG Knee wrap over with spring

Used for Ski mountaineering. Easy to install over thermal underwear then covered by ski trousers.
Gave perfect support during the ascensions (didn't feel the knee brace on my leg at all).
Perfect support on the descents as well. My meniscus pain which has recently prevailed after intense activity did not show at any moment during these last 5 days of skiing while using the brace.
