Two geared hinges with steel supports on the inside (medial) and outside (lateral) of the brace which physically assist the knee bending while reducing rotational movement of the knee joint. Padded buttress with open patella to keep the knee cap in a central position when bending the knee. Velcro straps on the thigh and calf to hold the support in place. Latex-free neoprene provides thermal compression. Solid metal stays down the side with a geared polycentric hinge and hyperextension stop. Ideal for skiing and other high risk activities. Knee Brace offers a medium-high level of protection ideal for rehabilitation from patella or ligament knee injuries relieving the symptoms of arthritis tendinitis and bursitis and for general protection of the knee.

The 429X Knee Brace is made from latex-free 5mm Neoprene fabric which offers a combination of support compression and heat retention which aids rehabilitation and eases pain and swelling from around the knee.

OPEN 360° PADDED BUTTRESSES

The open 360˚ padded buttress isolates and supports the patella and to keep the knee cap in a central position when bending the knee during sports. This will also relieve any tendonitis around the knee cap.

Super steun

Na 6 jaar een 429X gebruikt te hebben voor tafeltennis was de stevigheid en de rek er wel uit. Besloten om weer dezelfde te bestellen. Nieuw model ziet er wat moderner uit dan het oude model met helaas 1 minpunt: aan de oude zaten aan de bovenkant 2 lussen om hem aan te trekken, die zijn helaas verdwenen (wegbezuinigd?) bij dit model. Vooral als je al een beetje vochtige benen hebt van het zweet is het lastig om deze aan te trekken. Verder zat hij prima en de ondersteuning is nog steeds top.

Voldoende steun, scharnieren kunnen beter

Stevige braces die veel steun geven bij intensief sporten met een knie-onbalans. Scharnieren doen goed hun werk bij beperkte kromming van de knie. Richting de 90 graden drukken ze echter te veel tegen het kniegewricht.

Really helpfull

I wear the braces while wakeboarding and snowboarding and skateboarding after having hurt both knees. I had good rehab, so knees are stable. The braces give some support, you feel no hindering whatsoever. But a good feeling about protected knees.

Ik heb net de kniebrace gepast en het bleek dat hij te groot is, maar ik ga hem opnieuw kopen omdat het materiaal waarvan hij is gemaakt van goede kwaliteit is.

The McDavid knee brace (429X) is excellent, I have not found a better one in 40 years. Thanks to these braces I am playing more tennis tournaments than ever.
