This is my 1st proper ankle support I got for my ankle for old injury that compermised my ankle and it made it unstable and would roll outwards on rough surfaces and I used it few times now and it helps steady my ankle and make it feel bit more secure.

Don't go hiking without them

They look awkward, but they don't interfere at all with your shoes, and the support they give your ankles is outstanding. I hike on irregular surface with rocks, roots, etc.. and I think I might have saved myself severe ankle sprains at least 6 or 7 times in the past 2 years. I refuse to go hiking without them anymore
